.300g raw sausage
.1/2kg vegetable (carrots, parsley roots, leek)
.1kg potatoes
.500ml Zur (fermented cracked rye flour or whole rye flour)
.1 1/2l water
.vegetable-or chicken stock cube
.oil
.majoram
.salt
.pepper
.1/2 cup of soured cream
Boil carrots, leek, parsley roots and raw sausage in water, seasoned with a stock cube. Remove carrots and sausage, cut them into slices.
Dice potatoes, add them to the sieved soup and cook until tender.
Now add sliced carrots and shortly roasted sausage slices.
Season with salt, pepper, majoram and rye flour fermented in water(Zur). During a several days of fermentation this mixture gets its slightly sourish taste, which is typical for this soup.
Ready-made, bottled Zur is available at Polish deli shops.
Top the soup with soured cream before serving.
