6 stale rolls, a bit less than 1/4l milk, 2-3 eggs, 100g bacon, 150g cured sausage,
30g butter, 1/2 onion, parsley, chives, about 3tbsp. flour, salt.
preparation: baste bread with eggs and milk, allow to steep for half an hour;
roast finely cut bacon and sausage in a pan, add butter, onions and minced herbs;
mix it with the soaked bread; when adding flour, compress the mass well and form equal sized dumplings out of it, best with wet hands. boil for 15 min. in water or stock.
